Harvey Heintzelman
Harvey L. Heintzelman, 75 of Ligonier, Ind., passed away Friday July 4, 2014, at his home.
He was born on July 8, 1938, to the late Joseph and Anna Mae (McDonald) Heintzelman in Cromwell, Ind. On April 8, 1961, in Ligonier, he married Patricia S. Christlieb, who was his beloved wife for 53 years.
Harvey retired from Kidd & Co. in 1997. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, mushroom hunting every spring, fishing all year round and deer hunting in the fall. He also enjoyed gardening and going to tractor pulls.
He is survived by his wife: Patrica Heintzelman, Ligonier; four children: Lola (Tim) Terry, Ligonier; Sheila Heintzelman Brimhall, Rome City, Ind.; Anthony (Tony) Heintzelman, Kimmell, Ind.; Amy (Curt) Hasting, Ligonier; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brother and five sisters.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier. A funeral service will be held in Harvey’s honor at 10 a.m. Thursday July 10, at the funeral home. Pastor John Lutton will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier. Pallbearers are Sheila Heintzelman Brimhall, Tony Heintzelman, Travis Brimhall, Justin Brimhall, Matt Massey, Brock Heintzelman, Chuck Christlieb and Andrew Hasting.
