Miss Kosciusko Crowned And Fulfilling Duties
Crowned Miss Kosciusko County on June 21, Hannah Parker, 18, of Warsaw, has already begun fulfilling her duties, making an appearance in the Mermaid Festival Parade Saturday, June 28.
Parker is a Warsaw Community High School student and plans to attend IUPUI in order to major in motorsport engineering. She is a continuous recipient of the High Honor Roll Achievement Award in engineering technology and has received a Greenhand FFA degree. Parker’s hobbies include racing and shooting sports.
The rest of the Miss Kosciusko County court is comprised of Madison Dobbin of Silver Lake, first runner up; Tiffany Hertel of Warsaw, second runner up; and Miranda Domiano of Warsaw, third runner up.
In the Miss Teen Kosciusko County Pageant, Lauren Brown, 17, of Warsaw was crowned. A student at WCHS, Brown wants to become a physician after she graduates. She is a member of the FFA and the 4-H Octagon Club. Her hobbies include reading, hunting and fishing, plus cross country.
The rest of the Miss Teen Kosciusko County court includes Katelyn Ksiezopolski of Warsaw, first runner-up; Jennifer Dady of Warsaw, second runner-up; and Keyanna Clevenger of Syracuse, third runner-up.
Both pageants occurred June 21 at the Shrine Building located on the Kosciusko County Community Fairgrounds. This year’s pageant was split into two separate pageants — Miss Kosciusko County and Miss Teen Kosciusko County — following rules changes with the Miss Indiana Pageant, which requires participants to be 18.
Miss Kosciusko County participants must now be 18 in order to represent the county on the state level, leading to the split. Miss Teen Kosciusko participants are between 14-17 years of age.
