4-H Royalty Candidates Meet For Interviews
Candidates for Kosciusko County 4-H king, queen, prince and princess met Thursday evening at the Purdue Extension building for their last interviews. Two males and three females participated.
Hannah Tucker, a junior home-schooled student from Milford, has been a member of 4-H for 9 years. She represents the Milford Successful 4-Hers group. For the fair this year her projects are beef, veterinary science, corn, small grains, hay, soil and water conservation, bee-keeping and needlecraft. She has held 4-H offices including president, vice president, secretary, historian and reporter. In the spring semester of 2015 she plans to attend Purdue University to study agricultural communication. Her parents are Steve and Valerie Tucker.
Chris Baker is a senior at Whitko High School, and represents the Pierceton Hayfeeds 4-H club. His 4-H projects for this year are Dairy calf feeder, steer, poultry and electric. Baker lives in Pierceton, and plans to attend college in the fall. His mother is Andrea Baker.
Cody Demske, a junior at Tippecanoe Valley High School, has been involved with 4-H for eight years. He represents the Beaver Dam 4-H club. For the fair this year his projects are shooting sports, junior leaders, goats, veterinary science, farm toy scene, foods, Lego, woodworking, sport fishing and public speaking. He has held 4-H offices including junior leader president, Beaver Dam vice president and horse and pony vice president. Demske plans to attend Purdue University to study Veterinary Sciences. He is from Claypool and his parents are Mark and Lisa Demske.
Miranda Domiano, a senior at Warsaw High School, has been a member of 4-H for 10 years. She represents the Lucky Lads and Lassies 4-H club. She has completed projects for sheep, rabbit, recycling, needlecraft, miscellaneous craft, non-wearable, scrapbooking and rabbit posters. During her time in 4-H she has held the office titles of vice president, secretary, treasurer, reporter, health and safety and recreation. In the fall she will attend Youngstown State University in Ohio to study special needs education and early intervention. She is from Warsaw and her parents are Tim and Richele Domiano.
Ashley Blackburn, a junior at Manchester High School, has been involved with 4-H for nine years. She represents both the junior leaders and junior neighbors 4-H clubs. Her projects include wearable sewing, consumer clothing, electric, horse and pony, foods, gift wrapping, cake decorating, achievement book, scrapbooking, child development, photography, wearable arts, black-smithing, miscellaneous craft, create with a mix and junior leaders. She has held 4-H office titles including recreation leader, health and safety leader and president. Blackburn is from Silver Lake and her parents are Ricky and Zona Blackburn. In the future, she wants to open a day care that also offers preschool.
