Three Arrested On Alleged Drug Charges
A total of three individuals have been arrested on alleged drug charges following an intensive investigation by the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force.
According to a press release provided by KCSD, on June 12, Nathaniel David Heitkamp, 18, of Warsaw, was initially arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in schedule II controlled substances, a Class B felony charge with a $10,000 bond.
In addition, a second suspect, identified as Derek Wagner,
28, of Etna Green, was arrested 5 days later on June 17, after the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office issued a warrant charging him with dealing in schedule II controlled substances, also a Class B felony. Wagner’s bond is set at $10,000.
According to the report, officers also subsequently arrested Barbara Middleton, 24, of Silver Lake on June 18, for dealing in a schedule II controlled substance, a Class B felony. Middleton’s bond is also set at $10,000.
Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers were also assisted by members of the Silver Lake Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department during the duration of the investigation.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
