Roland Gonzalez, 59, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 7:51 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Ill.

He was born July 13, 1954, in Brownsville, Texas, to Guadalupe and Maria (Robles) Gonzalez. On Jan. 16, 2003, he married Maria Del Carmen Cruz Marin, in Warsaw.

He worked as a general laborer and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Warsaw.

He is survived by his wife: Maria Del Carmen Cruz (Marin) Gonzalez, Warsaw; five daughters: Janie Gonzalez, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Jessica Gonzalez, Milford, Ind.; Billie Jo Luna, Warsaw; Erica Benitez, Pierceton, Ind.; Diana D Diaz Barriga, Warsaw; a son: Hugo Diaz Barriga, Warsaw; two sisters: Gloria Alicia Moreno, Corpus Christi, Texas; Irma Noriega, Warsaw; seven brothers: Guadalupe Gonzalez Jr., Corpus Christi, Texas; Valentine Gonzalez, Houston, Texas; Roberto Gonzalez, San Benito, Texas; Jesus Gonzalez, Fort Worth, Texas; Abraham Gonzalez, Warsaw; Ruben Gonzalez, South Whitley, Ind.; Gilbert Perez, Warsaw; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Guadalupe and Maria Gonzalez; a stillborn son; four brothers and a sister.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 6, at Titus Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:45 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Warsaw. His funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
