Fashion Show Benefits Autism Network
A summer fashion show and luncheon at the Oakwood Resort will benefit the Lakes Area Autism Network. Doors open at noon, and lunch will follow at 1 p.m. June 22.
LAAN was created in January 2012 as a way to provide support and resources for all people living with autism. Families, caretakers and professionals in the area who work with them can all benefit from their services as well.
The network works to bring together existing support efforts in the community to maximize their effectiveness.
Educational meetings take place each month, where guest speakers talk about topics of interest for parents and professionals. Local school corporations also sponsor area organizations who offer parent support groups.
Through LAAN’s efforts, parents and individuals with autism can make informed decisions about which options and services are best for them.
LAAN gets support and resources through its affiliation with the Autism Society of Indiana.
The cost of attendance is $25, and includes the fashion show and the luncheon. RSVP by June 16 with Satori Boutique by calling 574-834-3333. For more information email them at [email protected].
