Andrews Leads Valley Victory
WINAMAC – Tanner Andrews big night at the plate paced the Tippecanoe Valley baseball team past Winamac Tuesday night.
Andrews just missed hitting for the cycle as the Vikings topped the Warriors 6-4 in their regular-season finale.
Andrews had a home run, triple and single in the win. The Purdue bound star also drove in two runs for the Vikings.
Valley scored single runs in the second, third and seventh innings. The Vikings also plated three tallies in the fifth frame.
Jay Myers improved to 4-0 on the season with the pitching win. Alec Craig nailed down his school record tying fourth save for the Vikings.
Luke Helton went 3-3 with a trio of doubles and two RBI. Gavin Bussard had two hits.
Valley will face NorthWood Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Class 3-A Whitko Sectional.
