Salon Steps Forward To Help Syracuse Cats
Though it seems people were quick to cast stones at the owner of a Syracuse home allegedly overrun by cats, Brittney Shepherd said there was only one group that came forward in an effort to offer assistance.
The salon team of Babes & Combs have contacted Gayle Benson-Sauers and are working with her and her daughter to meet the county’s order to have all of the cats vaccinated within the next two weeks. Shepherd said, “I am reaching out to New Hope Pet Rescue and a couple other no kill shelters around the area. We have 14 days to vaccinate the cats and find the majority of them homes.”
Shepherd is also looking for the public’s help to get the cats the proper veterinary care they need and find them loving homes. Anyone interested in making a donation and/or helping to place the animals may contact Shepherd via Facebook or by phone at the salon at 574-457-4970.
