Meals On Wheels Drivers Sought
Deliver a nutritious meal to senior in the community and make a big difference in someone’s life.
Smiling faces are needed to deliver Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors in the Milford area. Besides nourishment you might be providing their only daily contact with other people. Kindness and friendships can go a long way to live a healthy and enjoyable life. Receiving a meal from a friendly volunteer is often the highlight of a senior’s day.
It only takes a few hours each month to volunteer. Many volunteers even deliver meals on their lunch hour at work. Volunteers can deliver a meal on their own, or partner with a friend and deliver together.
Meals on Wheels drivers need to have a valid driver’s license, a reliable car and pass a background check. You must be responsible, over 18 years old, and have an hour to spare, one or two times a month. You should be able to lift up to 10 pounds, as the meals are packed into coolers that are put into the trunk of your car.
