Civil War Veterans At The Courthouse
This photo, provided by the Kosciusko County Historical Society, shows a group of Civil War veterans in a room at the Kosciusko County Courthouse reserved for meetings of old soldiers and the women’s groups providing assistance to them.
The soldiers were members of the Grand Army of the Republic, similar to an American Legion for the veterans of the war.
Seated, from left, are Joe Neeley, Aaron Eschbach, C.C. Stoner, C.W. Burket, David Kintzel, S.D. Hathaway, John Eicher, Jacob Elsingfitz and Noah McComb. Standing are John Sellers and John Niswander.
