Diana Lackey
Diana Lackey, 76, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 10:25 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, in Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born on July 4, 1937, to Willard D Hawley and Orpha (Keck) Hawley at home in Indiana. Diana graduated from Nappanee High School in 1955. Diana loved the sport of bowling and was a member of the Warsaw Wesleyan Church. She retired from United Telephone Service as a telephone operator.
She is survived by a son: Brad (Angel) Hamilton, Warsaw; two daughters: Cathy (David) Rapp, Warsaw; Dawn (Roger) Ransbottom, Warsaw; two sisters: Betty (Ed) Krause, Kokomo, Ind.; Mary (Jerry) Lumadue, Michigan; two brothers: Patrick (Debra) Hawley, North Carolina; John (Barbara) Hawley, Florida; 12 grandchildren: Chrissy, Cheyenne, Tiffany, Karrin, David, Tyvan, Bobby, Daren, Alan, Brycelyn, Mackenzie and Maxwell; five great-grandchildren: Ezra, Kylie, Presley, Canton, and Colt; along with several nieces and nephews. Diana was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and a son Robert L. Lackey.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014. Interment will be at Union-Center Cemetery Nappanee, Ind. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw. Pastor Wanda Carter will officiate the service.
