Sacred Heart Students Study Pioneer Life

Mrs. Rose Smith’s fourth grade class recently concluded their studies of pioneer life by writing and performing skits about everyday life in Indiana in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s. Students, Reagan Polk and Elliot Tinsley, demonstrated how to make clothes and plant crops.
Other students told tales of how to collect honey from trees, how to make soap and the sad reality that some illnesses could not be cured.
