Deloris Thompson, 76, of Claypool, Ind., passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in her home.

Deloris was born Sept. 16, 1937, in Fulton County, Ind., to Earl D. and June A. (Smith) Floor. She was a 1956 graduate of Akron High School, Akron, Ind. Deloris and Max Thompson were married May 13, 1956 in Disco, Ind.

Living most of her life in the Claypool area, she enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was a machine operator at Manchester Controls for 36 years retiring in 1999.

She is survived by her husband; two sons: Max E. (LaDeana) Thompson, Claypool; Lonnie Thompson, Fort Wayne, Ind.; one grandson: Christopher Thompson, Michigan City, Ind.; one granddaughter: Valerie (Mitch) Thompson-Mantle, Churubusco, Ind.; one great-grandson: David Mantle; two sisters: Sharon Floor and Joan (Jim) Floor, all of Akron, Ind.; and two brothers: Larry (Ann) Floor, Akron; and Michael (Claudette) Floor, Indianapolis, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her sister: Karen French.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at  11 a.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Eddie French will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
