Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Wednesday, March 26, 5:32 p.m. North 600 East, Pierceton. Driver: Karri A. Henwood, 43, North 500 East, Syracuse. Henwood was traveling east on Old Road 30 east of 600 East when a deer entered the roadway. The collision caused extensive damages to the vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
Wednesday, March 26, 8 a.m. West Lake Street and North Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Driver: Vincent D. Fletcher, 42, South Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Fletcher was eastbound on Lake Street when, due to the angle of the sun causing impaired vision, he failed to proceed around the roundabout and went into the curb/center area. Damages: up to $2,500
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Wednesday, March 26, 11:52 a.m. East Market Street and South McKinley Street. Drivers: Janet K. Shull, 71, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw; and Danette M. Ciaccia, 31, North 175 East, Warsaw. Shull was northbound on South McKinley Street and Ciaccia was westbound on East Market STreet when Shull failed to stop at a stop sign and proceeded through the intersection, colliding with Ciaccia’s vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
Wednesday, March 26, 8:16 a.m. West Winona Avenue. Drivers: Sherlock Harrison, 42, West 350 South, Warsaw; and Arnold E. Marcum, 61, South Poplar Street, Hartford City. Marcum, the driver of a commercial vehicle, was stopped for a school bus that was loading. While stopped, Harrison ran into the rear of Marcum’s vehicle. Harrison, who was transported to the hospital by his wife due to knee pain and a nose bleed, stated he was unable to see due to the angle of the sun. Damages: up to $10,000
