Jesse David Miller
Jesse David Miller, 73, of Etna Green, Ind., passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Ind., with his family at his side.
Jesse was born Oct. 2, 1940, at Warsaw, Ind., to Jesse Wayne and Lucille Irene (Waggoner) Miller. He was a 1959 graduate of Warsaw High School. He married Marsha Lou Shock on Oct. 23, 1965, in North Webster, Ind. Jesse entered the United States Army Dec. 18, 1959, at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Ind., as a quarter master and served in Turkey. SP4 Jesse David Miller was honorably discharged Dec. 14, 1962, at Fort Devens, Mass.
He was a tool and die maker at Bentler’s in Goshen, Ind., for 15 years where he retired in 2005. He also attended the North Webster Church of the Brethren, was a member of Warsaw USBC Bowling Association and was inducted into the Warsaw Bowling Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter: Amy (B.J.) Estep, Etna Green; a son: David Joe, Fort Wayne, Ind.; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a sister: Joan (Dario) Ascension, Liberal, Kansas; two sister-in-laws: Sandy Miller and Arlene Miller, both of Warsaw, Ind.; and brother-in-law: Robert Smith, Warsaw.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; three brothers: James Miller; John Miller; Melvin Miller; and sister-in-law: Sharon Smith.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27, in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Jarboe, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, chaplain officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, where there will be military honors by the Warsaw American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126 in recognition of his service to his country.
