Nisly Announces His Political Agenda
Dear Editor,
My name is Curt Nisly, and I seek the Republican nomination for State House District 22, which includes most of Kosciusko County and southern Elkhart County.
I am concerned about our country, and believe Hoosiers must focus on making Indiana stronger. I will always listen to and respect my constituents, and will vote based on principles of life, liberty and prosperity.
I believe in personal responsibility, fiscal responsibility, free markets, constitutionally limited government, and the rule of law. Government’s role is to protect rights of citizens. I will defend life, your right to keep and bear arms and Indiana’s state sovereignty.
Nationalized healthcare is wrong, as are nationalized education standards, whether Common Core or by another name. Marriage is between one man and one woman, and the people of Indiana should be able to vote to enshrine this definition in our state constitution.
I grew up in Elkhart County, got my first job drafting at an RV factory at age 14, and graduated from high school at age 16. In 2006, I started C-Tech Solutions, which provides computer services to the community. I understand the joys and challenges of being a small business owner.
My wife, Mary, and I have been married for nearly 20 years. Our four children will all be teenagers later this year. We homeschooled our children when they were young. They are now students at Fairfield High School, where each has been involved in Marching Band and Color Guard.
Mary is a nurse at IU Health Goshen Wound Center, serves on the Elkhart County Fair Board, and is chairman of Elkhart County’s Republican Party. We support Project Promise of MDC Goldenrod, where we work and worship with adults with mental and physical disabilities.
