SOUTH BEND – A big second half carried the Lakeland Christian Academy boys basketball team to a win Friday night.

The Cougars outscored host South Bend Career Academy 34-17 in the final half to post a 47-28 win in their regular-season finale.

LCA posted a 19-7 scoring edge in the third quarter to take control of the contest.

Chris Silveus and Jon Harmon each scored 17 points to lead the way to the win for LCA. Silveus also had six rebounds and Harmon, who was 7-7 from the free throw line, snared five in the victory.

Carter Twombly had four points and the trio of Cody Kline, Connor Blum and Brigham Davis each scored three for the Cougars.

The Cougars won their final two games of the regular season to improve to 3-18. South Bend Career Academy, which had 31 turnovers in the game, finishes its season at 2-17.

LCA will play Lakewood Park on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Class 1-A Hamilton Sectional.
