Cardinal Services Honors Long-Time Employees
Cardinal Services honored 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 year employees at their annual recognition banquet held on Feb. 21, at Grace College’s Russell Center. Combined together, this year’s honorees have 525 years of commitment to Cardinal and the people they have served through the years.
Two employees, Direct Support Professional Barb Knox and Corporate Vice President Randy Hall celebrated their 25-year anniversary with Cardinal.
The 20-year class was made up of five women who began working for Cardinal in 1993. Kristie Redman is a DSP working in Cardinal’s Residential Day Services program. Norma Bauer is Cardinal’s Day Services coordinator. Laura Campbell began her tenure at Cardinal as a DSP but has spent the past several years as human resources manager. Susan Rouch is the nurse working out of Cardinal Logansport office. Dee Quaglio is the residential manager of Cardinal’s Western Avenue group home in Logansport. Cardinal CEO Jane Wear pointed out that in addition to Quaglio’s Cardinal job, she is of great service to the entire disability field in Indiana. She serves as the current president of Direct Support Professionals of Indiana, advising and giving vital insight to government officials on the needs of people with disabilities and those who work for them.
Cardinal honored Jackie Bentele, hired in 1998. Jackie is a DSP in the Community Living Program with 15 years of service.
Recognition was also given to people who completed 10 and 5 years of service. There were 22 employees who celebrated their 10-year anniversary at the banquet, and 28 employees who marked their 5-year anniversary.
This year’s class of honorees was joined by Cardinal Board Members Joel Wihebrink and Bill Winn. Before Winn offered the blessing, Wihebrink welcomed the crowd, expressing his personal admiration and thanks of the community for the work they do. Photos and videos from the banquet are available on Cardinal Services’ Facebook page, which the public is invited to like.
