C. Kay Miner
C. Kay Miner, 63, of Texas and formerly of Warsaw, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, in the MD Anderson Hospital, Houston, Texas.
She was born Dec. 27, 1950, in Goshen, Ind., to Duane F. and Maybelle (Edington) Leedy. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1968.
A former longtime Warsaw resident, she moved to Florida in 2009 to be closer to her sisters and then to Texas in 2013 to be with her sons. She worked as an office assistant for Dr. Richard Carmen for over 30 years.
Kay enjoyed bowling, sewing and being with family and friends and going to church.
She is survived by two sons: Darren (Dawn) Miner, Tomball, Texas; and Gavin Miner, Austin, Texas; six grandchildren: Devan, Joseph, Anthony, Felda, Austin and Ashlyn; a great-grandson: Kingston; and two sisters: Linda Doll, Punta Gorda, Fla.; and Patricia (Mark) Fox, Punta Gorda, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, Ind.
