Vikings Stay Perfect In TRC
AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball team took another step towards a perfect conference season Thursday night.
The balanced Vikings rolled past North Miami 52-25 in a Three Rivers Conference contest.
Valley, despite playing without standout senior Tanner Andrews, improved to 12-3 overall and 6-0 in league play. The Vikings will look to complete an unbeaten league slate and claim another conference title Saturday afternoon at Southwood. Manchester and Southwood are both 4-1 in the TRC.
The Vikings raced to an 18-7 lead after the opening period Thursday and were never challenged.
Chainey Zolman paced the winners with 12 points. Alec Craig netted 10 points, while Robby Groom had nine and Logan Britton eight for the Vikings.
Andrews missed the game due to an injury.
North Miami drops to 3-12 overall and 1-5 in league action.
