Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Wednesday, Feb. 12, 4:30 p.m. North Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Tyler R. Miller, 18, North Zimmer Road, Warsaw; and Tracy L. Krieg, South Ferguson Road, Warsaw. Miller was pulling out of a driveway and, due to a snow drift, did not see and backed into the path of Krieg’s oncoming vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
Wednesday, Feb. 12, 7 a.m. East 200 North, Warsaw. Drivers: Valerie J. Downs, 25, 14th Street, Winona Lake; and Terry M. Wentz, 52, Hartzler Street, Warsaw. Downs was pulling out of 536 E. 200 N. and, due to a snow pile obstructing her vision, pulled into Wentz’s oncoming vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
Wednesday, Feb. 12, 6:01 a.m. North 300 East and East 1300 North, Milford. Drivers: Curtis J. Ousley, 22, Oak Brook Place, Warsaw; and Jelli O. Gill, 40, EMS D12 Lane, Syracuse. Gill was slowing at the intersection of 300 East and 1300 North when Ousley slid and rear ended Gill’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Wednesday, Feb. 12, 7:34 a.m. East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Eric L. Eickhoff, 54, Oatfield, Lane, Goshen; and William E. Kovach, 41, Sand Hill Lane, Warsaw. Eickoff was westbound on Winona Avenue when he stopped at the intersection of Indiana Street and attempted to back out of the intersection for oncoming traffic, causing him to back into Kovach. Damages: up to $1,000
Milford Police Department
Officers of the Milford Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Wednesday, Feb. 12, 8:01 a.m. Lehman and Alexis drives. Drivers: Kyle A. Smiley, 18, Heide Lane, Milford; and Mary R. Tilson, 53, East 1000 North, Syracuse. Smiley was traveling through the “Y” intersection when, due to weather conditions, he was pushed into Tilson. Both lanes were constricted due to snow. Damages: up to $1,000
