Grace’s Miller Honored By League
WINONA LAKE – Grace College All-American senior Greg Miller was named the Crossroads League Player of the Week on Monday for the third time this season.
Miller, a native of Akron and a North Miami High School graduate, leads the league in Player of the Week honors so far in his senior campaign as only one other CL player has multiple weekly honors (Ryan Benner of Bethel, 2).
Miller helped the Lancers continue their late-season surge with a pair of wins last week, including an upset of No. 11 St. Francis on Saturday. Miller averaged 24.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game to highlight Grace’s efforts. He made a sizzling 58 percent of his shots from the floor, including 67 percent from the 3-point line and 82 percent from the foul line.
Grace has now won eight of its past nine games, including four upsets of NAIA Top-25 ranked opponents during that span. The Lancers sit at 16-9 overall and 8-6 in the league. Grace is two games out of second place in the league standings and faces a pair of challenging road contests this week at Marian (Tuesday) and at Huntington (Saturday).
