Bill Linton
Bill Linton, 48, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 6:08 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
On July 10, 1965, he was born in Marion, Ind., to Jesse and Carolyn (Snider) Linton. He attended Warsaw Community High School, graduating in 1983.
He was an electrician by trade, an avid fisherman and hunter and followed his favorite teams, the Cincinnati Reds and the Miami Dolphins. However, his passion was spending time with his beautiful daughters. He was a very loving father, son and brother and will be incredibly missed.
He is survived by his daughters: Sara and Jesse Linton, Warsaw; his ex-wife: Shelly (Linton) Thomas; his longtime companion: Linda Edgerton, New Paris, Ind.; his mother and stepfather: Carolyn and Clyde Sexton Sr.; three sisters: Kelly (Mark) Harkins, Krista (Chad) Fletcher and Jana Sexton and her companion Randal Kephart; nephews and nieces: Jeffrey Harkins, Nappanee, Ind.; Tyler Harkins, North Webster, Ind.; and Zachary Sexton, Matthew, Spencer and Savanah Fletcher, all of Warsaw; a great-niece: Aubrey Harkins, Nappanee; his grandmother: Waneta Linton, Van Buren; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father: Jesse Linton; and his grandparents.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the funeral home with Jeff Pfeifer officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
