Arthur Haas and the former Janet Jeffers were united in marriage Jan. 31, 1964, near Argos, Ind., at the Walnut Church of the Brethren, by Reverend Eldon Evans.

A 50th anniversary reception is planned for the couple by their children. It will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1101 N. 175E, Warsaw.

Arthur is a retiree of RR Donnelley and Janet retired from the Warsaw Community Schools system.

The children are: Lori and John Miser of Crestwood, Ky.; Kelly and Dan Snelson of Centerville, Ohio; Beth and Dennis Doucette of Centerville, Ohio; and Patrick and Megan Haas, Warsaw.
