John Brickey Sr., 57, of Ligonier, Ind., passed away on Dec. 18, 2013, at his home.

He was born on Sept. 14, 1956, in Norton, Va., to William Brickey and Dollie Short. He married Pam Sprague on Oct. 6, 1979, in Syracuse, Ind.

He is survived by his wife: Pam, Ligonier, Ind.; a son: John Brickey Jr., Auburn, Ind.; and two daughters: Heather Brickey, Ligonier; and Melisha Felix, Albion, Ind.; eight grandchildren; two brothers: Jerry Brickey, Syracuse, Ind.; and Stevie Brickey, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and several step-siblings.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Roger Brickey.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 20, at Ligonier Evangelical Church, 1911 Lincolnway S., Ligonier. A funeral service in his honor will follow at noon Friday at the church. Pastor Steve Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
