Deane A. Kline
Deane A. Kline, 88, formerly of Claypool, Ind., passed away at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City, Ind.
She was born in North Manchester, Ind., on Oct. 28, 1925, to Warren M. and M. Eloise (Peabody) Grossnickle. She graduated from Chester High School in 1943 and was a homemaker and farmer. On Sept. 14, 1945., she married Victor E. Kline. He preceded her in death.
Deane was a member of the Center United Methodist Church, Silver Lake, IN., the United Methodist Women, and the former Jr. Jackson Township Home Economics Club.
She is survived by two sons: Dennis (Dorothy) Kline, Claypool, Ind.; and David (Patricia) Kline, Pendleton, Ind.; a daughter: Vicki Turner, Winona Lake, Ind.; four grandchildren: Christina (Mike) McCaul, Pendleton; William Todd (Jennifer) Kline, White Oak, Ga.; Mark Kline, Claypool; and Anita (Chicho) Kline-Balbuena, Claypool; three great-grandchildren: Nicolas Balbuena Kline; Arya Balbuena Kline; and William Kannon Kline; two sisters: Gloria Bell, North Manchester, Ind.; and Carol Paxson, Fort Wayne, Ind.; a brother-in-law: Max Kline, Fort Wayne, Ind.;
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.
Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at the funeral home with Pastor Kent Harting and Jeff Grossnickle officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester.
