UPDATE: Search On For Missing Pierceton Man
(UPDATE: The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department reported at 5 p.m. today that the subject has been located. No additional information is yet being provided.)
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies responded Tuesday evening to the 5500 block area of County Road 700 South, Pierceton, in reference to a missing male adult. Officers spoke with family members who stated that Zachary Jay Cox, 19, had left his residence on foot Tuesday evening and had not returned.
Cox was last contacted by cellular text message at 7:42 p.m. by his mother and attempts to contact him again have been unsuccessful. He had also notified his place of employment that he was no longer returning to work.
Cox is approximately 5-foot 7-inches, 120 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing an Abercrombie navy blue coat, blue jeans and white “Polo” brand tennis shoes.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies and detectives have attempted to search the Sidney area in hopes of locating Cox to no avail.
Even though he is an adult, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department is asking citizens to assist with any information. Tips can be called in on our anonymous line at 574-372-2494, or to Kosciusko County Detective/Sergeant J.D. Ayres at 574-265-2211.
