Vyron W. Cripps
Vyron W. Cripps, 43, of Etna Green, Ind., passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, in his home.
He was born Feb. 10, 1970, to Wayne C. Cripps and Joyce Greenlee at Bremen, Ind. Vyron was blessed to be raised by his father and Alma Waddle Cripps. He was a lifelong resident of the Bourbon, Ind., area and was a graduate of Triton High School Class of 1988. He continued his education at Ivy Tech where he earned a machinist degree. He married Stacy Young on Aug. 19, 1989, in Bourbon.
Vyron worked at Newmar Corporation of Nappanee, Ind., as a service technician. He enjoyed motorcycles, the outdoors and especially his grandchild. Vyron served in the National Guard as a Reservist. He was a member of the NRA past member of the Bourbon Fire Department and Bourbon EMS.
He is survived by his wife; their children: Stanley Cripps of Bourbon; Ryley Cripps, Etna Green; Courtney (Tyler Palmer) Cripps, Etna Green; his granddaughter: Kyleigh; his mother; mother-in-law: Jackie (Terry) Treesh, Etna Green; his step-mother and father-in-law: Judy (Rex) Young, Bourbon; and his four sisters: Angela Cripps, Waynesville, N.C.; Stacy (Kevin) Damron, Etna Green; Alana (Scott) Mappin, Augusta, Ga.; and Jill (Kevin) Barber, Bourbon.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, IN 46504. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday Oct. 25, in the Bourbon Bible Church. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Bourbon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bourbon Fire Department or to Potawatomi Wildlife Park in his memory.
