MedStat Opening In Syracuse
Already well known in Warsaw, MedStat Urgent Care and Occupational Health is coming to Syracuse. It’s first day of operation will be Thursday, Oct. 31. To celebrate, the Lutheran Heath Network is holding a Spooktactular Open House from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30.
The open house will feature tours of the facilities, which MedStat will share with Dr. John Kratzer at 107 W. Pickwick Drive, Syracuse. It is the former Arthur’s Fresh Market building at the intersection of Pickwick and SR 13 in Wawasee Village. The public is welcome for chili, hot dogs, apple cider and Halloween treats under the big tent during the open house.
There will also be a costume contest for children ages 7 years to 11 years old at 5 p.m. A bicycle will be awarded to the best girl and best boy costume winners.
MedStat offers walk-in urgent care for illness and injuries, on site X-ray services, preventative services such as physicals, vaccinations and allergy shots. An array of occupational health services will be available for area business and industry to use. These include drug and alcohol testing, D.O.T. services, worker’s compensation services and wellness and prevention services.
The staff will include Mike Taylor, physician assistant, and Laura Wheeler, family nurse practitioner. Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
