James Christopher ‘Chris’ Cox, 54, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at his home.

He was born on April 26, 1959, in Muncie, Ind., to Glen and Judy (Sayre) Cox.

He graduated in 1977 from Wes-Del High School in Gaston, Ind., and served in the United States Marines from 1977 to 1981. He moved to Kosciusko County in 1987 from Gaston and on Nov. 9, 1990 in Warsaw, Ind., he married Susan J. ‘Jill’ Kern, who survives. He was formerly employed at Medtronic in Warsaw for 8 years.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Katie (Michael) Barnes, Marion, Ind.; Courtney Cox, Pierceton; three grandchildren; his parents; a sister: Julie Cox, Gaston, Ind.; and a brother, Greg (Kate) Cox, Virginia.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Living Hope Christian Church, 14300 N. CR 900W, Gaston. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, in the church.

Memorial bequest may be given to the donor’s choice.
