Shake And Make Meth Earns Arrest
A Silver Lake man shaking an active “one-pot” methamphetamine lab outside of his residence caught the attention of the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force Officers on Tuesday. The officers located Ronald Lee Bailey, 45, in the process of cooking the final product.
As the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers were attempting to execute a search warrant at 12595 S. County Road 700 West, Silver Lake, they witnessed the homeowner outside of the residence shaking a “one-pot method” methamphetamine lab. Bailey was immediately taken into custody by deputies and arrested on a preliminary charge of felony manufacturing methamphetamine.
The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team was also summoned to the scene to secure the lab and other precursor items associated with the production of the methamphetamine. Bailey is currently being held on a $20,000 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.
The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force was also assisted in the investigation by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
