The Adult Book Club is discussing, Wild: from lost to found on the Pacific Crest Trail. The group is serving decaf coffee at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 8. Adults are welcome to join an hour of friendly discussion.
Have a Nice Fall Chalk Walk
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. But, the Syracuse Library is asking patrons and friends to draw on the sidewalk around the library to wish everyone a nice fall. Other drawing options are to add a monster in the pit of despair or make an original picture. The Syracuse library has plenty of chalk to borrow for drawing on the pavement or bring your own special colors. Join the chalk-walk during the week of Oct. 7-12.
Halloween
The library is a stop in literature on Halloween night. Trick-or-treaters will see the characters and stories of Dr. Seuss on their way for their treat. Please call the Syracuse Library to offer assistance preparing props and costumes, and to volunteer with set-up and take-down on Halloween. People willing to dress-up and play a character from a Seuss story are asked to call the library soon. The number for the library is 574-457-3022.
