New Life Christian Church & World Outreach, 744 S. 325 E., is celebrating 30 years of ministry in Warsaw Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19-20. As part of the 30th anniversary celebration, award-winning Christian performing artist Michael W. Smith will be performing at the church’s celebration service on Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Orthopaedic Capital Center, 610 Wooster Road in Winona Lake.

Michael W. Smith, along with guests Higher Ground and New Life, will provide the worship music for the service, which starts at 10 a.m. Doors open at 9 a.m.

The event is free for New Life members, and $5 for friends, family, Grace College students and the public. A limited number of general admission tickets can be purchased at Penguin Point locations in Warsaw and Syracuse.

Michael W. Smith is a contemporary Christian musician who has charted primarily in the contemporary Christian and occasionally in the mainstream charts.His biggest success in mainstream music was in 1991 when “Place in this World” hit No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. Smith is a three-time Grammy Award winner, and has earned 40 Dove Awards. Over the course of his career, he has sold more than 13 million albums and recorded 29 No. 1 Hit songs, fourteen gold albums and five platinum albums.
