Geneva R. Nibblett
Geneva R. Nibblett, 91, of Ligonier, Ind., passed away on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013.
She was born on March 10, 1922, to Andrew and Lula (Isbell) Aaron in Sipsey, Ala. On April 13, 1946, she married Eugene Nibblett. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1995.
Nibblett was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and working in her flower gardens. Geneva loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a strong woman of faith, and believed in the power of prayer. Geneva loved mentoring and discipling others in the Lord, and was very active in the church.
She is survived by two daughters: Myra Yelton, Ligonier, Ind.; Lawana (John) Marcisz, Calumet City, Ill.; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister: Dorothy (Ned) Holley, Russellville, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, two brothers, one grandchild, three great-grandchildren and a son-in-law.
Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Stone’s Hill Community Church, 151 Stone’s Hill Rd., Ligonier, Ind., and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the church. There will be a funeral service held in Mrs. Nibblett’s honor at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home with Pastor Joey Nelson and Pastor Brad Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Topeka, Ind. Yeager Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
