Passenger Train Meeting Cancelled
The public presentation on passenger train service for Warsaw that was scheduled for Sept. 10, has been cancelled.
The meeting was to be held at the Kosciusko County Democrat Headquarters with Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer as the guest speaker. However, instead of Thallemer being the lone speaker, the Northeast Indiana Passenger Rail Association will be making a presentation to the Warsaw Common Council on Tuesday, Oct. 8, to accommodate a larger audience. The presentation will include a brief history of the project and discussion regarding feasibility of the project.
Funding of rail service will also be discussed, including a request by NIPRA for local support of a preliminary planning study. The community is invited to attend this presentation. The meeting will be held in the Warsaw City Hall Council Chamber.
