Chester H. ‘Chet’ Bond
Chester H. “Chet” Bond, 85, of North Webster, Ind., passed away at 8:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 16, 1928, in Leicester, Mass., to Chester A. and May H. (Cummings) Bond. He attended Webster Public Schools in Webster, Mass., and moved to Kosciusko County in 1964 from Massachusetts.
On Sept. 23, 1977, in Coldwater, Mich., he married Charolette J. (Lambert) Sieglinger, who survives. He was owner / operator of Bond Excavating in North Webster since 1974 and was formerly employed as a truck driver transporting mobile homes in the 1960’s and 70’s, and worked for the state of Indiana DNR for 10 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was raised in the Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife: Charolette Bond, North Webster; five daughters: Janice Pauley, Alton, N.H.; Kathy, Linda, Susan, Cindy; three sons: Dennis Bond, Gilford, N.H.; Kenny and Wayne Bond; three step daughters: Lonie Bloom, North Webster; Pam and Denise; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: Jodi Bond; two sisters: Brenda Gajewski and Peggy Carpenter; and a brother: Wylie Bond.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the North Webster United Methodist Church, 7822 E. Epworth Forest Rd., North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday in the church with Rev. Gary Kolbe officiating.
Memorial bequest may be given to donor’s choice.
