Man Claims ‘Seizure’ Behind Indecent Exposure
A Pierceton man said he may have suffered a medical condition, such as a seizure, which rendered him unaware that he may have exposed himself to three juvenile girls.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department received a call at about 9:34 p.m. Wednesday referencing a man who had exposed and fondled his genitalia to three girls under the age of 16.
Deputies arrived at EMS R4 Lane on Ridinger Lake and spoke with the original caller. The complainant said that after her daughter and the other juveniles told her what they had witnessed, she approached the suspect, later identified as Kevin L. Black, 50, 334 EMS R4 lane, Pierceton, and confronted him. The woman said Black immediately apologized for his actions, but she told him she was still calling the police.
Deputies located Black and questioned him about the allegations. Black provided a statement that he was unaware of performing such an act and that he believed he had possibly suffered a seizure. He also said he remembered waking up in his residence without wearing his shorts.
Deputies arrested Black on a preliminary charge of indecent exposure/fondling with intent to be seen by others. He is being held on a $350 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail currently.
