Hot Dog Eating Contest Names Champions
Men and women tested the strengths and girths of their stomach yesterday during the annual Kosciusko County 4-H Fair Hot Dog Eating Contest.
The contest featured two timed rounds for male contestants and one timed round for female contestants. Contestants were given five minutes to consume as many hot dogs as possible. After eating the dogs, contestants were then asked to forgo a two minute digestive period to ensure contestants kept their hot dogs in their stomachs. Hot dogs were handed out by the Kosciusko County 4-H Fair Queen.
Winner’s in the men’s eating division were: Seth Syndrom, first place winner with 14 hot dogs; Jason Mast, second place; and Trey Thompson, third place.
Winner’s in the women’s eating division were: Brooke Stevens, first place winner with nine hot dogs; Melina Islas, second place; and Emily Deck, third place.
