BREAKING: Police Continue Bank Robbery Investigation
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies are currently investigating a robbery that occurred in Leesburg this afternoon. At approximately 4 p.m., the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a bank robbery at Farmers State Bank located at 205 S. Main St., Leesburg.
According to deputies investigating the incident, the suspect entered the bank wearing a dark colored mask over his nose and mouth area. According to information that investigators gathered at the scene, the suspect is a caucasian male, approximately 6 foot to 6 foot 2, in his late to mid 50’s and was wearing a red ball cap. The suspect was described by witnesses as having grey or white hair with either a beard or goatee that came to a two-prong or fork-style points at his chin area. The suspect was wearing a blue t-shirt, dark colored cargo pants and white and silver running shoes at the time of the robbery.
According to a witness, the suspect was seen fleeing the scene in an unknown direction in what is believed to be either a silver or grey Chevy Cavalier or Ford Escort station wagon. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken during the robbery. There was no gun displayed during the incident.
