Howard E. ‘Harv’ Sellers
Howard E. ‘Harv’ Sellers, 87, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away Sunday afternoon at his home, with his wife, his dog Riley and his caretaker, Cathy Flinckinger, by his side.
He was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Maplewood, Ohio, to Roy J. and Loretta (Griffin) Sellers. On July 4, 1982, he married Karen Linville, in Las Vegas, Nev.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters: Susan McClish, Debra I. Kuhn, both of Syracuse; and Christine ‘Tina’ A. (Robert) Reid, Goshen, Ind.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: LoaAnn Dahl, Syracuse; and Barbara (Sam) Bontrager, Lake Wales, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children: Ruth Sellers; son: Larry Sellers; daughter: Kathy Sellers; step-son: Mikel Peters; three brothers: Marvin, Jesse, and Charles Sellers; and a sister: Glendora Madlem.
Mr. Sellers was a longtime area resident and owner of Sellers Manufacturing Inc. from 1962-2010.
Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, July 15, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, July 15, at the funeral home wil Anjenette Hasse officiating. Cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be directed to R.V/M.H. Hall of Fame, or the New Hope Pet Rescue, Syracuse.
