Mary E. Schang, 84, of Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013, at Grace Village Health Care.

Mary was born on March 2, 1929, in North Liberty, Ind., to Albert Clell Schrader and Leona Fern (Arnold) Schrader. On Dec. 17, 1955, she was married to Clifton E. Schang, who preceded her in death.

She worked as a secretary at Clausing and R.R. Donnelley and Sons, both in Warsaw. She also worked at Bendix Products Division in South Bend, Ind. She was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., since 1968 where she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego, Ind., and member of the Purdue Extension Homemaker’s Club, and Thursday Night Ladies Bowling.

She is survived by her two sons: Eric (Dottie) Schang, Leesburg, Ind.; Craig Schang, Uintah, Utah; four grandchildren: Colton, Cameron, Cierra and Kyle; one great-grandchild: Zeb; and two brothers: Claude (Barbara) Schrader, North Carolina; Wayne (Florence) Schrader, Bremen, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her daughter-in-law: Shirley Schang.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20 at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, at the funeral home. Services will be officiated by Pastor Kirk Barger and Pastor Greg Harden. Burial will follow at Leesburg Cemetery.
