Marilyn S. Workman
Marilyn S. Workman, 70, of North Webster, Ind., passed away at 4:05 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2013, at her home.
She was born Sept. 24, 1942, in Petersburg, Ind., to Stanley and Mary Jane (Curry) Howard Sr.
She grew up in Rushville, Ind., and graduated in 1960 from Rushville High School. She was married on Sept. 19, 1964, in Connersville, Ind., to William L. “Bill” Workman, who survives, and moved to the North Webster area in April 1984 from Rushville.
She was formerly employed at Hughes and Young Lawyers in Rushville, Maple Leaf Farms in Cromwell, Ind., and Ace Hardware in Syracuse, Ind., where she worked in the lawn and garden area.
She formerly attended the Church of God in North Webster, was a master gardener and an artist that enjoyed painting, drawing and many others forms of art.
She is survived by her husband: Bill Workman, North Webster; two daughters: Jenny (Jeff) Fearnow, Huntington, Ind.; and Beth Workman, North Webster; a son: Scott (Renee) Workman, Winona Lake, Ind.; four grandchildren; her mother: Mary Jane Howard, Connersville, Ind.; a sister: Sandra Cooper, Connersville; two brothers: Stanley (Linda) Howard Jr., Connersville; and Don (Candice) Howard of Lawton, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500 North, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Bill Mueller of the Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne officiating.
