Norman E. Busz
Norman E. Busz, 80, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 4:55 a.m. Thursday May 23, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
He was born on Sept. 6, 1932, to Thurman and Nellie (Bertwhistle) Busz at the old farm house in Pierceton, Ind. He is a lifetime resident of Pierceton.
He married Edna Quier on Nov. 12, 1950, she preceded him on April 2, 2000. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard.
For many years he worked at the Pierceton Truck Stop, he was a good machinist and mechanic. Norman was always willing to help fix a car. His passion was living on the lake, fishing and watching wildlife.
Norman is survived by his two sons: Roger Lee Busz, Warsaw; and Terry (Tammy Rhoades) Busz, Warsaw; a daughter: Charlene (Kenneth) Hampton, Warsaw; a brother: James Busz, Pierceton, Ind.; two sisters: Ada Finken, Pierceton; and Lois Sleighter, Columbia City, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his wife, a son, three brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Billy Smith of Warsaw Community Church) will officiate. Burial will be private in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
