Man Tased After Threatening Officers Lives
When a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputy and a Syracuse Police Department officer were called to Biscayne Lane in Cromwell early this morning, they got more than they bargained for.
KCSD Deputy Mike Fowler and Syracuse Officer Joe Denton were called to 11318 N. Biscayne Ln., at 12:34 a.m. today to deal with a report of an unwanted person on the property. Upon their arrival, Paul Miller, 42, of Cromwell, threatened to kill the officers. Miller then started to run to his residence, located just a few doors down at 11348 N. Biscayne Ln.
In his report, deputy Fowler noted that, due to the threat made to the officers, they did not want Miller to go inside of his residence and ordered him to stop. Miller was ultimately tased and taken into custody for intimidation on a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement, all misdemeanor charges.
