Meijer Complex To Acquire Staples, Restaurant
The new Meijer complex in Warsaw is getting at least two new resident businesses, including the already existing Staples store which has plans to relocate.
Warsaw City Planner Jeremy Skinner confirmed to StaceyPageOnline.com Monday night that, although no building permit has yet been filed, Staples has submitted a development plan to occupy space on the southwest quadrant of the Meijer property (identified as Outlot D on the accompanying photo).
“They haven’t applied for the building permit yet, but their plan is to move dirt this summer,” Skinner said.
Also, Panda Express has applied for a building permit and will be constructing a new store on a northwest lot of the complex, identified as Outlot A. Panda Express is described as an Asian-inspired cuisine fast casual restaurant.
Meijer is still on schedule to open by mid-June. There is no word yet on why Staples plans to relocate from its current location at 3600 Commerce Dr.
