Emerson Stiner
Emerson Stiner, 93, of North Webster, Ind., passed away on May 13, 2013, at IU Health Goshen Hospital, Goshen, Ind.
He was born on Feb. 3, 1920, in Adams Hills, Ohio, to Calvin and Nellie (Vickers) Stiner. On Sept. 17, 1955, he married Mary Van Curen who preceded him in 2007.
He was a North Webster resident since 1959 coming from Elkhart, Ind. Emerson owned and operated restaurant’s, and several laundromats over the years as well as being a truck driver. He was a member of the Columbia City Moose Lodge, Country Bible Church in North Webster and a 1938 graduate of Conesville High School in Ohio.
He is survived by a half brother: William Smailes, Trinway, Ohio; and by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will take placed from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at Eastlund Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at the funeral home with Pastor Myron Drent of the Country Bible Church officiating. Â Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton.
