Magical Meadows Begins New Season
Magical Meadows Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center has started its first session of the year.
Magical Meadows is a nonprofit organization with the mission of helping people in the community with different abilities. It services people of any age, and ability. It was started in 2007 with one horse and one rider. For the first session of the year they already have over 45 riders registered and many volunteers.
While the new building is still under construction, Tammy Stackhouse has started classes weather permitting. Once the building is finished it will contain the new arena, an activity center with computers donated from The Papers Inc., along with a meeting room.
Through the support of many in our community, the dreams of providing a facility that not only provides therapeutic horseback riding, but will also provide additional fun, educational and beneficial activities for children and adults with special needs, is close to becoming a reality. Within a few weeks the shell of our indoor riding arena and activity building will be complete.
“We are so close to finishing that dream, but due to some unforeseen construction requirements, we are once again asking for your help,” said Stackhouse. “We are asking that you become part of the cornerstone of the Magical Meadows with your donation. Your donation will not only help us to ‘FINISH THE DREAM IN 2013,’ but will put a smile on the face of a child with special needs.”
Donations are always welcome. The building campaign, “Finish the Dream in 2013,” still is ongoing. All donations are tax deductible.
Volunteers are always needed. Classes are Tuesday through Saturday. ForĀ details on becoming a volunteer, or if you are interested in registering for a riding session, call Stackhouse at 574-265-3085. Magical Meadows is located at 3386 E. 525 N., Warsaw.
