Accidents
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday, 7:37 a.m. Syracuse-Webster Road and CR 1300N. Driver: Jenna R. Risedorph, 24, North James Street, Milford. Risedorph was turning left from CR 1300 North onto Main Street when her vehicle struck Justin D. Winkelman, 15, North Main Street, Syracuse, who was walking across the intersection. Risedorph stated the teenager was in the blind spot of her vehicle and she did not see him. Winkelman suffered a lower leg/foot injury and transported to IU Health-Goshen Hospital. A witness, Nakole Webster, East Fox Run, Syracuse, reported the teen started crossing the intersection while she was completing the turn in her school bus. After seeing the accident she stopped the bus and called authorities and put the student in the bus until help arrived. Damages: under $1,001
Saturday, 1:06 p.m. SR 13 south of Bowser Street. Drivers: John D. Durham, 63, EMS T15 Lane, Leesburg; and Michael G. Knowlton, 52, Goshen. Knowlton’s vehicle was struck from behind by Durham’s vehicle. Damages: up to $25,000. Both drivers declined medical treatment.
Wednesday, April 10, 9:06 a.m. South Huntington Street. Driver: Richard A. Green, 71, North Ogden Point Road, Syracuse. Green struck a parked vehicle registered to Howard Hapner, North CR 300E, Syracuse, while backing from a parking spot. Damage up to $5,000.
Incident
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following incident:
- Friday, 4:45 p.m. Tahnee Harter, EMS D24 Lane, Syracuse, reported she was battered and had her wallet and prescription pills stolen at a South Harkless Drive, Syracuse location.
Arrest
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently made the following arrest:
- Tuesday, April 9, 2:06 p.m. Patrick T. McDonald, 42, South Vanhemert Drive, Syracuse, arrested for battery. McDonald allegedly grabbed the arm and shoved a female at a South Huntington Street location. Bond: $500
