One person was killed in a single vehicle accident on SR 15 south of CR 900 North near Milford. The crash was reported at about 10:55 p.m. Sunday.

Jason S. Watson, 37, of Warsaw, was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup truck that slammed into a tree head on. Watson sustained blunt force injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Kosciusko County Coroner Michael Wilson.

As StaceyPageOnline.com reported last night, a female passenger in the truck was airlifted from the scene after being extricated from the wreckage by the Milford Fire Department. Ellen Myers, 22, also of Warsaw, was listed in critical but stable condition this morning at Parkview Regional Medical Center with severe injuries to her leg, as well as additional torso and arm injuries.

A preliminary investigation of the Kosciusko County Fatal Accident Crash Team investigators determined Watson was northbound on SR 15 when, for an unknown reason, went left of center. Watson’s vehicle continued off the west side of the roadway and struck a tree. The crash is still under investigation and F.A.C.T. investigators are awaiting toxicology lab results as required by Indiana law.

Kosciusko County F.A.C.T. was also assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police, Multi-Township EMS and Milford Fire Department.
