Donald E. Wallen, 70, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at his residence.

On Feb. 11, 1943, Donald was born to Henry and Bessie (Hall) Wallen in Prestonsburg, Ky. He was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., since 1958 residing in Winona Lake.

On July 8, 1972, he married Eliza Marie Blevins in Clintwood, Va., and she survives.  Donald was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father and son. He enjoyed his life with his family.

Donald is survived by his wife: Eliza Marie Wallen, Winona Lake; his parents: Henry and Bessie Wallen, Warsaw, Ind.; his children: Donald E. (Carolyn) Wallen II, Sidney, Ind.; LaDonna Dee Mort, Pierceton, Ind.; Rebecca Dee Wallen, Winona Lake; Romona Dee Wright (David), Winona Lake; Rachael Dee (Kevin) Paul, Warsaw; a brother: William R. (Sally) Wallen, Somerset, Ky.; a sister: Henrietta Myer, Silver Lake, Ind.; and Frances Wallen, Rockwell, Texas; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 8, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the funeral home. Rev. Howard Vance will be officiating the service. Burial will be at the Oakwood  Cemetery.
